Radar

Radar ranks the Etsy shops and listings CraftRank tracks by how fast they are moving right now. Every other tool answers a question about a shop or listing you already know. Radar finds the ones you did not know to look at: the shop in your category that sold 800 this week, or the listing that picked up hundreds of favourites before it reached the top of a search.

When to use it

  • You want to know who is pulling ahead in your niche this week, not who was biggest years ago.
  • You are looking for product ideas that are gaining momentum while there is still room to compete.
  • You want to see the tags, price and materials of the listings climbing fastest.
  • You want to compare shops in your own country, or at your own size, rather than the whole marketplace.

What you get

Radar has two views, Shops and Listings, with a switch between the last 7 and 30 days.

  • Shops ranked by sales made in the window, with reviews and favourites gained, lifetime sales, rating and listing count. Filter by category, country, lifetime sales, shop age and rating.
  • Listings ranked by favourites or views gained in the window, with price and estimated sales. Filter by listing type, country, category, who made it, when it was made, variations and stock, or search titles, tags and materials.
  • Detail sheets open from any row. A shop shows its movement, lifetime figures and sales over time. A listing shows its movement, price, stock, category, tags and materials, with every tag ready to copy.

How to read the results

Shop sales in Radar are counted, not estimated. Etsy publishes each shop's running count of completed sales. Radar reads it about once a week and subtracts one reading from the next, so a shop's 7-day figure is sales it really made. That is different from the lifetime revenue in Shop Analyzer, which is modelled.

Listing views and favourites are counted the same way. Listing sales are still estimates, and are labelled as such.

Figures are scaled to the window. Readings are taken roughly a week apart, not exactly seven days apart. The 7-day and 30-day numbers are scaled to the window they name, so a 7-day figure always covers seven days.

A dash means not measured yet. A shop or listing needs two readings far enough apart to cover a window before it has a figure for it. Those rows sit under the ranked ones rather than disappearing, and the footer counts them.

Radar is a panel, not all of Etsy. It tracks a large panel of shops and their listings across categories and countries, not every one on the marketplace. Read the rankings as who is moving among the shops Radar watches.
